Former Porn Star David Mech Seeking Palm Beach School Board Seat

A former porn star is looking for a new role as a school board member.

David Mech of Boca Raton has qualified for the Palm Beach County School Board's District 3 seat.

The 38-year-old was known as Dave Pounder while a performer in adult films. He began a math tutoring business a few years ago after he stopped performing in porn movies around 2010.

"A lot of people have issues with my background, but I don’t,” Mech told the Palm Beach Post. Mech holds two doctorate degrees and now runs the Happy/Fun Math Tutor company. His website says he's focused on five main issues affecting the school board, including technology, innovation, equality, sex education and secular values.

two doctoral degrees. In the original article, there is a link to the guy's website, where he lists his degrees.

It sounds like he's in two doctoral program, or at least started same, possibly online, since he specifically lists those as 'PhD Student' and doesn't list graduation dates.
