I wrote a letter stating all the obvious reasons, and added I wouldn't buy or wear any team merchandise bearing the Chief Wahoo logo.

While Atlanta only uses a tomahawk it is still suggestive that native Americans were violent persons when we know that was not the case. I wish all sports teams nationally would revisit their names and their mascots and eliminate offense. Around the world we don't see these kinds of mascots. Why here? Because Americans are too stupid to feel an affinity for a team without a graphic image?
