Cheneys unveil Star Mangled Banner

Notice what's strange about the flag at the top of this post? And no, I don't mean the idiot in the cowboy hat grimacing next to it.

I mean the fact that the stars on the flag look like Rich Lowry after watching Sarah Palin give her 2008 convention speech, or at least like they've been inflated with the same hot air they've been using to criticize President Obama on Iraq. Put simply, they're way too big, and as Matt Ortega notes, their manipulation of the flag's appearance is completely nonkosher:





So, given that the Cheneys evidently feel they need to reinvent the American flag, here's my totally non-trolling question: When is it that they discovered they hated their nation, and the flag for which it stands?
