Fuck you Terry Bradshaw.

Fox invites NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw on air to talk Benghazi

It's been less than 24 hours since we learned about the capture of Benghazi suspect Ahmed Abu Khatallah, who reportedly was inspired to launch the attack in part because of that video around which Republicans have spent the better part of two years building a conspiracy theory. By any standard, this is pretty big development in the story, so you can't blame Fox for talking about it. But this?

Fox News on Wednesday continued its multi-year obsession with the terrorist attack in Benghazi by inviting NFL football analyst and former quarterback Terry Bradshaw to weigh in.

Their big question?

“Do you trust Hillary Clinton?” the Fox News host asked Bradshaw.

And you won't be surprised by his answer:

“Not really,” he grimaced. “Don’t particularly like her, never have. The best thing to do here because she’s selling a book — the only reason she’s on Fox is because she’s promoting books.”

Yeah, and the only reason Terry Bradshaw is on Fox is because he's an expert on Benghazi.

Several of Bradshaw's 1970s Super Bowl Championship teammates attended yesterday's funeral of Coach Chuck Noll.

http://triblive.com/sports/steelers/6293719-74/steelers-former-noll#axzz3528RrxJO

The former Steelers included Hall of Famers Franco Harris, Joe Greene, John Stallworth and Mel Blount, plus Rocky Bleier, Merril Hoge, J.T. Thomas, John Banaszak, Louis Lipps, Mike Wagner, Andy Russell, Tunch Ilkin, Craig Wolfley and Dick Hoak. Most sat together in a group that included NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Steelers Chairman Dan Rooney. Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw was a no-show.

If Bradshaw did not wish to make the effort to attend the funeral of his Super Bowl coach and to share regards with several of his teammates who helped him acheive gridiron success which jumpstarted his media career, at least he could have declined Fox's invitation to opine on a political matter the very next day.

After all, there would be at least some basis for asking a football star to comment on a football team's name.

But... Benghazi? Hillary Clinton's credibility?

I suppose that, to balance it out, Fox will invite Clinton to opine on the merits of the zone defense as opposed to man-to-man. That would make about as much sense.

I don't consider his comments to be too far out there. I am sure some here even agree with him. Other than the not liking her part, I kind of agree with the book part.

Bradshaw has done great work for people. He has truly helped many. Some of the things being said about him are just wrong. His criticism here is based more in reality than some of the criticism by members of this board. For example, he didn't spread the lie that she laughed at a rape victim. He didn't say he wouldn't vote for her because she was meant to Kerry. Many more from where those came from. His comments are mild. The vitriol directed at him is not.
