Just so that I'm clear

Republicans believe that- in order to (correctly) support the burgeoning "democracy" in Iraq- we should have basically just said FU to the Iraqi government and thumbed our nose at the SOFA that George W. Bush negotiated with them in 2008 and kept our troops in Iraq past 2011 despite the decision made by their democratically-constituted government at the time to refuse to approve further US troop presence in their country? I'm not even sure that John McCain- had he been elected- would've been mind-blowingly stupid enough to thumb his nose at the Iraqis that way and essentially re-establish an (even more) illegal occupation of Iraq and instigate severe reprisals on our troops. Yet, that's basically what they seem to be implying should have been done (they haven't made any other suggestions, have they?) by complaining about President Obama removing troops from Iraq per the 2008 SOFA and "allowing" it to descend into chaos. Of course, though, as we all know, Republicans don't have to (and don't) come up with real solutions to real problems- they just need to blame President Obama for..............something.

They would have loved it if he had violated the SOFA agreement....so that Faux could endlessly rant about PBO thumbing his nose at bush's treaty and the poir people of Iraq that just want to have control over their own country. Then gOP senators and reps can then duck or avoid briefings on why he decided to violate the SOFA to do 5-minute TV hit jobs on PBO and his administration's lack of information and consultation with con-gress.
