In soccer it's called professional play or some crap. I've learned a bit during this world cup.

This fake injury crap in soccer is just another reason why it sucks as a sport.

But the reason they did not is that from time to time a player does leave the field in the back of an ambulance. Example of this: Ochoa, the Mexican goal keeper, who left the field in Mexico City on a backboard with a neck brace to the trauma center after one of his team mates ran him over during the Mexico Israel exhibition game.

It was a neck strain, he was on neck brace for a week. It could been more serious. But acting is part of it, trying to force fouls. Some officials have issued yellows for excessive acting. Not this World Cup, but this cup the officiating has been quite horrific. Ok, ok, we have had some decent officials, mostly from Concacaf and UEFA, but African, South American and Asian officials, don't get me started.
