Dear Dick Cheney: Nobody Gives a Damn What You Think About Iraq
June 19, 2014
By Allen Clifton

Normally I try to keep things a little more professional, but when it comes to seeing Dick Cheney on my television giving advice about Iraq, I find myself losing all sense of professionalism and going into full, “Are you f-ing kidding me?” rant mode.

There’s a rule I’ve said we should follow for quite some time now. If you had anything to do with the absolute embarrassment that was the war in Iraq, you should keep your mouth shut when you feel the desire to give advice or criticism toward how others might be handling the situation over there.

Because guess what? If George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld hadn’t pushed for their illegal war, then subsequently botched it about as badly as any group of human beings possibly could, Iraq wouldn’t be the giant mess that it is right now.

And I don’t recall the phrase “indefinite occupation” being used back in 2003 prior to us going into Iraq. Though that seems to be the “plan” Dick Cheney wants us to follow now.

My biggest question is, why the hell is anyone interviewing Dick Cheney about Iraq? Why would anyone care about the opinions of the man who swore to the entire world that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and was aiding terrorists? Why would anyone care about the opinions of the man who swore to the entire world that we’d be embraced as liberators by the Iraqi people once they were force-fed his version of “freedom”?

Oh, by the way, literally none of that turned out to be true.

So, to Dick Cheney I say congratulations. The war you and your buddies completely screwed up might finally make Iraq an actual threat to the United States – something it never really was before.

But in the meantime do us all a favor and just go away. Nobody should give a damn what someone who was completely wrong on just about every single aspect of Iraq during their 8 years as vice president thinks we should be doing now.

1. Why is he on the air? He's a proven salesman for the MIC M$M. He's welcome there.

The M$M owners want another war to reduce the creative potential of humanity while they achieve their goal of having more money than Gawd. They are Randian Supermen, and it's what they have always done and will continue to do.

media and/or outlet that schedules Cheney for an interview that he is persona non grata in our homes and in no way deserves a hearing by the public.

That goes for any and all who were involved in planning and perpetrating Bush's War. Kristol, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Bremer, etc.

Send them and keep them in exile.

They should be cross-examining him as he sits on the witness stand as defendant in a war crimes trial.
