Now, I'm no fan of Feinstein, but what he said was blatantly sexist.

It's certainly not going to endear him to a huge segment of the party's base (LGBT and women), especially since, for many, this could be their first impression of him.

It's definitely taking a shotgun and blasting off your foot, but an apology and the fact that the primaries are 2.5 years away helps. But only if he's sincere about it.

But at this point it is not the general public that he should be concerned about. Rather the money donors, and they will definitely care, you do not go after Feinstein without any consequence.

His comment on Cantor is actually less problematic among that crowd, but problematic nonetheless.

My biggest issue for 2016 is who's going to dismantle our overgrown surveillance state. Schweitzer sounded like someone on the right side of this. (Of course, I would have thought Obama, Pelosi, and Kerry would be too, so what do I know?)
