Pilger, NE - Rock star Bret Michaels will be going to Pilger, NE on Monday, June 23rd to help with cleanup efforts.

A spokesperson for Michaels says he received the blessing of Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger. Michaels, along with his band and crew will go to Pilger to help the town rebuild in any way they can, according to a statement.

Michaels has ties to Nebraska. Both of his sisters live in the state. Michaels is in the middle of a tour and is going to take his day off to head to the disaster site.

A news release from his camp quoted Michaels as saying, "When I heard the news of what happened to the folks in Pilger, I immediately wanted to do something to give them a hand in the aftermath of this disaster. I have many friends and family in that area including my sisters, one of which served in the Air Force station at Offutt AFB in Omaha."

An EF4 tornado hit the small village of Pilger, NE this week. The deadly storm damaged about 75% of the village.
