'Sovereign citizen' case spotlights growing anti-government movement

It would be easy to dismiss Cherron Phillips, the “sovereign citizen” on trial for harassing federal judges and prosecutors with $100 billion liens, as just another kook.
Indeed, I have little doubt she has issues.

But what may surprise you is that the sovereign citizen movement that spawned her alleged tactics is believed to have attracted tens of thousands of adherents in the U.S. in recent years — all of them sharing a common belief that the government has no authority over them. And the movement, regarded by the FBI as a top domestic terrorism threat, is believed to still be gaining steam.

That’s a lot of kooks.

That effectively control the state?

Why is the life of a 99% citizen less valuable than than the life of the 1% citizen?

You gave me a reply that was not an answer to the question asked. It's the sort of side-stepping a politician does when he knows he fucked up.

You also gave a response to the OP that seemed like it was siding WITH the sovereign citizens because of your personal bogeyman, the 1%.

They're piece-of-shit manchildren who think that they've found some sort of legal cheat code that makes laws not apply to them.

"free-as-a-bird"

They can become outlaws on a completely voluntary basis.
Free from taxes.
Free from laws.
Free from regulations.
Free from taxpayer-funded services like roads, safe food, safe drugs, police and fire department.
Free from any constitutionally guaranteed rights.
