HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE: Congress’ approval rating at all-time low

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans' confidence in Congress has sunk to a new low. Seven percent of Americans say they have "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in Congress as an American institution, down from the previous low of 10% in 2013. This confidence is starkly different from the 42% in 1973, the first year Gallup began asking the question.

Personally, I AM SHOCKED!!!

And yet, the repubs, who are responsible for the inaction that has led to CONgress' poor ratings, will retain control of the House, because there are too many stupid people who only vote name recognition and on how many commercials they see on the TV.

There's the Koch Brothers, the Walton family, the Olin family...

I'm sure if we start adding we can get to 7%.

had reached a then low of about 13 or 14%, some NPR commentator said, "I think that number is only that high because a lot of people must have misunderstood the question."

A reason so many incumbents continue to be re-elected is that either the alternative is worse, or so many voters will absolutely only vote for their preferred party that a genuine race is impossible in many places.
