There was not a lot of stimulants, speed kills etc. Pot and qualludes. And a shit ton of beer.

Disco brought coke back in, along with the early 80s Miami stuff.

On edit: People just ate less. A whopper or big mac was considered huge. People exercise less. Fewer cars etc.
