I was in Troutdale the day of the shootings

I overheard a woman talking about her conversation with the mother of the kid that committed the shootings. At that time she thought that her child was still alive, but under arrest. When asked why her son had access to so many weapons, she replied that "Well, we're Rednecks"

...and I was in Vegas the day two cops were shot dead and in Seattle the day of the SPU College shooting.

Thankfully these kind of events have stopped following me.
