By that I mean we have Chomsky's perspective that you can dismantle the master's house with his tools. And, in opposition, Foucault is stating that we have to be skeptical of this possible reality precisely because the tools themselves are designed in such a way to resist, almost as an intelligence, the dismantling of the capitalist, imperialist system.
So one might ask Foucault, what tools should we use (in the video he is asked about what exists if not justice as a motivator) to dismantle the current order. And I think, based on my novice level of readings of Foucault, is that this may be the wrong question to ask because Foucault himself wants us all to question whether or not it is possible to learn of these alternative sets of tools without automatically committing the same violation as before. That is, using tools which, by design, cannot dismantle the master's house.
Chomsky seems to advocate a more immediate and clear circumstance surrounding a revolution. But Foucault wants us to remain within the wonder of what it actually means to create revolution and what it actually means to emancipate ourselves within the very system that enslaves us.
