http://time.com/2907164/terrifying-owl-escorted-out-of-house-on-a-swiffer/If you ever come home to find an owl hanging out in your kitchen, just stay calm and find a Swiffer, like the guy in this video. He (understandably) became hysterical when he saw an owl perched above his kitchen sink, but luckily for us, decided to record the whole thing. He manages to get the bird onto a Swiffer, and then he carefully escorts it out the window as it stares at him with horrifying wide eyes of death.
Once youve watched that, be sure to watch the first installment of this riveting series:
Owl In My House:

(36,186 posts)I would have been pissing my pants. I would have hid in the closet with a cell phone calling animal control, possibly the fire dept! LOL

(27,985 posts)My dog and cat were FREAKING out. It was like Animal Kingdom. My son was about 7 at the time and saved the day by gently removing the little guy while I kept the other critters at bay.
That owl is gorgeous, but I would have panicked. Horribly.

(6,913 posts)My husband managed to catch it in a laundry basket so we could take it outside. Eerie, silent flying but you know it's there.

(27,985 posts)I understand that it's recommended everyone in the house go through rabies vaccines if a bat is discovered in your home.
Creepy.

(34,120 posts)Which is no longer completely screened due to the squirrels. Birds as large as cardinals get in through the holes of course none of the birds can find the spot where they came in. Mostly it's little birds like Carolina Wrens. The squirrels have no problem finding their holes, so I don't have to try to catch them
I have a pool leaf skimmer net with a telescoping handle to take dead fish out of own pond and it works great for either catching the birds or guiding them out the door of the porch.
