No one will ever know how much Edward Snowdens leaks cost the US government, but for one artist in Shenzhen, the image of the fugitive US whistle-blower is worth at least 10 times more than imitations of famous works by Van Gogh or Monet.
At the famed Dafen artists village in Shenzhen, where cheap knock-offs of Impressionist masterpieces can be bought for as little as 200 yuan (HK$250) each, a portrait of Snowden will set you back between 2,000 and 3,000 yuan.

Headline: "Edward Snowden Portraits Are All The Rage In China"
Buried below the lede:
While Huang has yet to sell any of the Snowden works, he says he fields calls about the portraits at least once a week from art collectors in Germany, France, Denmark and Canada, and many of the prospective buyers are women. They all said hes very handsome, the 38-year-old explained at his studio yesterday. I think many women like heroes who look cool and distant.

(1,643 posts)7. It doesn't matter because he dared cross the Obama Administration...
If it were Bush, it would be a different story though.

(30,058 posts)9. He crossed the US government but since you say it wasn't a problem during
The Bush Administration when the illegal wiretapping was occurring then Snowden must have intended to hurt the Obama Administration, good to see you recognize Snowden's intended victim.

(7,099 posts)11. You seem to be admitting
that the NSA has broken the law so what exactly are you so angry at Snowden for except that a Dem is in the WH?
