He is the most articulate and relevant popular speaker I've heard. What he says resonates so easily.

"Power isn't there, it is here, within us," he added. "The revolution that's required isn't a revolution of radical ideas, but the implementation of ideas we already have."

The nihilist would have us believe we don't know how to govern ourselves and that everything should 'just burn.' And we know what has worked for most people in this country, our social contract, should not be scrapped, but open to more inclusion.

It should be cleansed, not given over to the forces of privatization and profit over the needs of our peoples. We can't trust the media to do anything but promote the dissolution like the vultures they have been playing for so long.

We are people, and various forces are trying to tell us we are their prey and helpless to do anything. A friend of mine just wrote me to tell me she was elected as her district's Democratic chair. It only took a few votes and she is going to push our ideas in an area where all the media pushes right, but it's a liberal state in many ways.

We are not powerless, and we don't even have to run around with guns making a show of might like the open carry crowd. Power is often invisible and quiet, but it has to recognized for what it is, for good or evil. I didn't much care for Brand, but he is talking some very good sense here. I hope it will resonate until the thieves hear it loud and clear.

but I love this man so much! He is obviously flawed, but heart is in the right place, and he is very intelligent and in tune with himself and with the issues that matter.

The man is brilliant. I wholeheartedly disagree with him about not voting but that doesn't mean I don't greatly admire him, his wit and his intelligence. Yes, he's flawed but who among is isn't?
