Pilger before and after: Damage photos from around town (tornado)

http://dataomaha.com/media/pilger/before-after/

Before and after on Main Street
Pilger is more than bricks and mortar. It is the daily trip to pick up mail at the post office. The morning coffee and the hamburger lunch at the Village Cafe on Main Street. The towering muscle of the agricultural economy. And the happenings of holidays, graduations and community suppers. Monday's tornado reduced much of the northeast Nebraska community to rubble and ripped the fabric of the village.

I count three transformers on that pole to drive the machinery you see directly tied to it. That thing is using lots of power, and has got to be massive. To see it twisted and moved around in the way it was is breathtaking.

Short old brick buildings.
When it is re-built, it will be of more modern matarials, if they can afford to replace 75% of the town....massive damage, from what I read.
