Hypocrisy, thy name is Duck Dynasty. For a family that is against government benefits for others, the state of Louisiana gives them a government handout for the show’s production. It’s hard to imagine how that wealthy family could afford to eat without receiving government benefits to the tune of $70,000 for each episode.

Those poor, struggling summabitches.

The Inquistir reports:
The Duck Dynasty producers, as well as the Robertson family members who star in the show, soak up hundreds of thousands of dollars in government handouts from the state of Louisiana every year.

One industry insider estimates that the Duck Dynasty cast, which is paid $200,000 per week to appear on the popular reality show, receives government benefits of $70,000 for every episode of the A&E cable show from the state, even though Louisiana recently slashed funding for health care programs and pension programs for public employees such as police, teachers, and firefighters....

I'm sure it has its share of ignominious ignoramuses but one thing it hasn't got -- hillbillies. I wouldn't sully the word by associating it with the Palins (or the Robertsons).

Interesting because the way that article was written I assumed the state of Louisiana was handing that family $70,000 a week, but instead they are handing A&E the money as part of their bid to bring film to their state.

The Duck Dyn. people do the wrong thing by even seeking or accepting 'free grant money' of any kind.

They have a large family, only one family member is self-made from his duck call business. He should be paying for all his family members. Not the state or federal gov.

If any part of their personal 'business' is not profitable, then close that part. Really a shame how all our countries grant/subsidy dollars bypass legit charities and non-profits.
