The governor wishes Secretary Clinton well with her new book, said Jesse Mermell, a spokeswoman for Patrick.
Clinton does name her successor, John Kerry, 21 times in the book. But none of the moments are particularly revealing. She writes that one of her last acts in office was to sit down and write a letter to Kerry, which she put in the same place that Condoleezza Rice left a note for her. She doesnt reveal the contents of the note, and Kerry aides wouldnt either. (Perhaps it will be in Kerrys book....(snip)....Kerry aides said he hasnt seen the book, and did not get an advance copy, and has only read about it through media reports.

But, the Clintons do know someone in Massachusetts: Martha Coakley After Kennedy's passed, four candidates came forth for the Democratic primary for his seat. Mike Capuano, a Rep. with a relatively liberal voting record, a couple of fairly liberal Democrats not well known outside the state, and the owner of a then successful Massachusetts-based sports team.
Only one of the Democratic party's national figures came to campaign in that primary. That was Bill Clinton, who came to campaign for Coakley. After Coakley won that primary, neither Clinton came back to campaign for her against Scott Brown, though.

(30,058 posts)the Clintons has many many friends, I doubt a publishing company would even publish "friends". Can you imagine sitting down with a very large book with the Clinton friends listed, after a few thousand I would be very bored.
