Texas Day Care Investigated for Duct Taping Children to Sleeping Mats

A Texas day care center is under investigation after admitting to duct taping children to their sleeping mats when they wouldn't sleep during nap time.

A photo, shown above, of a boy wrapped in a blanket and taped by his legs and chest to his sleeping mat, was taking by an employee at Heart2Heart Montessori Academy in Parker County. She circulated the photo among parents and quit her job shortly after.

godamnit, Texas. REALLY?

So they wouldn't sleep during nap time?!?

I know it's Texas we're talking about here, but they do understand the concept of naptime, don't they?

Shit. I'm so glad I don't live in that hell-hole anymore...

Parker County is a couple of hundred miles away from where I am, and neither I nor any other Texan I know would ever dream of this sort of brutal action against children. But since you, like so many other DU'ers, seem determined to condemn the entire state when things like this happen, I guess an apology is in order. "I know it's Texas we're talking about here," but I hope this makes you feel better....

There's a reason why I don't live there anymore. Like most progressives, I long for the day Texas turns blue. I want to be proud of my home state again.

We have crazed right-wingers in Washington, too. But we keep them way-the-hell out in Spokanistan so they can't hurt anybody...

Hahaha for the disgruntled employee sending that picture of dear darling child taped to the bed.

This is a sick, twisted, and very deeply disturbed action taken independent of Montessori practice.

The director/teacher of that school will be out of there post haste, I suspect.
