1. I don't think so. This is an issue where I disagree with them, but I still support them.

great people.

But that policy stand was made quite a while ago, back in the 70s. We've come a long way since that time and have learned a few things...knowing that organization, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it is a bitterly argued issue right now...

They wrote a letter which trots out a parade of horribles that will result from such an amendment, but are willfully blind to the fact that some of those horribles are already happening or are virtually impossible to happen given the language of the amendment.

which say mean things about candidates in elections. Which is what most of these suggested amendments would do.

OTOH they are open to laws mandating improved disclosure of campaign-related expenditures, which I support.
