what's happening in Iraq has a profound impact on us here

And I'm not even talking about the horrible prospect of ever increasing U.S. military involvement.

Big oil and gas will exploit the Middle Eastern turmoil to increase the wild west style fracking that is ongoing Think Iraq won't be used to push through Keystone? Those who stand to benefit from arms sales to places like Egypt and SA, are lobbying furiously.

The Terror Terror Terror machine is/will be amped up and will used to increase surveillance and fuel American paranoid politics.

The ramifications go far beyond what I've listed.

as well as a direct hand out to MIC. The idiot serfs are left with their "Freedom isn't free" bumper stickers and a big wad of austerity.

The thing that I hear is that it is MUCH less than Europe....ok that is true, but they do not travel near as much as we do and I am only talking about to work.
