(45,251 posts)1. Thank you. I'll give it a try, even though I can rarely see
anything in the Boston sky. Price of living in a city with air pollution, I guess.
About 20 years ago, I was on Cape Cod after a bad storm had blown out to sea and saw so many stars in the sky, I was stunned briefly. Just stopped in my tracks and could do nothing but look. Never saw anything like it in before or since.
Anyway, thanks. It must be time to try now?
ETA: I was too late. The sky had already started to get light. The sky was covered with gray clouds, anyway, though.
I hope someone on the East Coast managed a glimpse, though.
Thanks again.

(127,270 posts)3. Wow. Was out there this morning too
Popped outside about 4:30ish to look at the crescent moon and Venus since both were very bright (made an attempt to take a pic with my phone). There were just enough haze for me to not see the Pleiades with them, and I didn't even consider looking for that cluster in the same vicinity either (I am used to finding the Pleiades overnight in a different area of the sky).
