I call BULLSHIT with this outcome about the PA AG office and Jerry Sandusky

Maybe Kathleen Kane is playing nice, I don't know. But I also realize she probably doesn't have any hard evidence that Corbett said to delay investigation on the Jerry Sandusky case. Maybe Corbett was smart enough to not leave a paper trail.

But the investigation into why it took so long to bring Sandusky to justice even after victims went to the PA Attorney General's office back in 2009 showed that there was delays overall in the investigation.

But think about this. You want to be the Republican Governor of Pennsylvania. You know that your 2 largest cities which have about a quarter of the voting population are hardcore Democrat sites and the rest of the state is about 55-45 in favor of Republicans. Historically, when Pittsburgh and Philadelphia have high voter turnout the republicans can't win statewide. Just look at 2012 - PA won all statewide races that year and voted for Obama.

But it's 2010, those turnouts aren't as strong in the big cities but the last thing you need to do is piss off your hardcore republican voters in the middle of the state which also happen to be huge Penn State fans.

Let's see - 2009 victims go to AG office and complain. Fall of 2011, Sandusky is finally arrested (a year after the election). Oh and it may be possible that in that 2 year period 2 more boys were raped by Sandusky.

This is utter bullshit and although I respect Kane may not have had the solid proof let's face it. No republican would want this mess on their plate while running for higher office.

Prosecutor: 'Crucial missteps' delayed Sandusky investigation

A review of the investigation into child sex abuser Jerry Sandusky found no evidence of political interference but said missteps slowed the case.

The probe, ordered by Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane, followed suggestions she made during her campaign two years ago that Gov. Tom Corbett, when he was attorney general, might have deliberately delayed the investigation into the disgraced assistant coach at the state's legendary football program.

Kane said there were "crucial missteps and inexplicable delays in bringing a serial child molester to justice."

"This was a full and fair review," she said Monday. "The facts show an inexcusable lack of urgency in charging and stopping a serial sexual predator."

The report, however, found no political influence in the 32-month state investigation.

<<<snip>>>

Kane ordered the review after taking office. Law professor and former federal prosecutor Geoff Moulton, brought in to lead the investigation, said Monday, "We found no direct evidence that electoral politics influenced any important decision made in the investigation. In fact, we found nothing ... to indicate Attorney General Corbett made any decisions at all in the investigation."

IMHO, more damage was done to children because Corbett did NOTHING.
