I would enjoy seeing it myself - if I didn't have to smell it.

I fixed it yesterday in my OP - and thanked you there - but it occurs to me now that you might not have seen it.

I'm in the area and will check it out. Thanks for the thread, Control Z-- very cool thing to see, and since it's so close, why not!

It doesn't seem that often when the cool things are in my area.

But I worked at Forest Lawn for 3 years (in my 20's) delivering flowers to crypts, niches and graves.
I'll pass on experiencing the flower's fragrance.

I heard about the flower every now and then when I lived in Pasadena, but I'd never seen it before: it's amazing looking.

And they now have a bad smell.
