Remember In November GOP Meme "Wasteful Spending" Means People Benefitting Programs.

We are barely into the election season and I am seeing endless ads about "wasteful spending" being mouthed by GOP candidates. They say they will reign in the budget and end this "wasteful spending". That meme is code for Social Security, Medicare, Food Stamps and every domestic program the presently exists.

Nothing is said about the huge corporate subsidies, and tax cuts for the wealthy. Voters need to challenge this kind of political speak and for these politicians to spell out exactly what wasteful spending they are talking about. The failure to address this meaningless rhetoric and demand specifics is dangerous. We must know the specifics and ignore the "politicalspeak" that usually says nothing of value.

So we now will have another political season of meaningless debate. Until we force politicians to speak clearly and bluntly we will continue to be in this morass.

Troops. It's "Support the Troops" but not at the VA. If they was truly interested in cutting the spending they would have gone for single payer health insurance so we would not be paying twice as much as France for health care.

In the language of Orthanc, save means slay and help means harm.
