It's past time we let Big Oil play in the sandbox at our expense.

where all those thousand year hatreds came from.

I've thought for a long time that they needed to redraw their own maps. That will produce more stable countries but not necessarily more stable oil flow.

I think about this mess the way I thought about the mess in Syria: we don't have a dog in the fight. We need to be on the spot providing humanitarian aid to the people who are fleeing any way they can. Air strikes will only make more terrorists.
