Carver police officer saves dog from submerged car

http://www.enterprisenews.com/article/20140608/News/140606798

CARVER — A Plymouth woman thought she left her truck in park next to a murky pond Saturday, seconds before the car rolled into the water with both of her dogs still inside.

One dog swam to safety, while the second dog was rescued by a town police officer.

"Seconds mean a big difference for animals, and people for that matter, under water," said officer David Harriman, hours after he rescued what police described as a rat dog.

"Instead of waiting for the dive team, I decided to go in and try and get the dog."

Carver is in MA.
