God damn alcohol...

I am a recovering alcoholic/addict, but it has been so many years since I drank I dont think about it much in terms of my life, but the people I see who are active alcoholics, it breaks my heart.

I have one real close friend, an attorney who cant practice because of his disease, and to watch him get sober, accomplish a little here and there and then BOOM, drunk again.

And I mean the kind of alcoholic that once he takes the first drink he must drink everything anywhere and everywhere until it is all gone, Or until he is out of money.

It just pisses me off.

BTW, decriminalization of ALL drugs is the only sensible way to go.

That is a different topic.

a driver with a DUI history and something in his system just caused the death of four people in unusual circumstances.
People who cannot cope with alcohol should be recognized asap and guided towards a safer existence for everyone.
It requires everyone to be involved. Or at least enough people who care about the individual and the safety of others.
But, here we are in America.
