Pew: 40% of Americans know which party controls House and Senate.

Thirty-three percent of Americans can identify the majority party in only one chamber, and 28 percent -- more than one in four people (!) -- have completely no idea.

Turnout in midterm elections averages about 40% ... hopefully the "other" 40% that does know, minimally, who has the majority in each house of Congress.

If this 40% doesn't know who runs Congress, they probably don't know when the elections are either. Or at least I hope. Because I really don't want them to vote (honest).
