Fox News's Dr. Keith Ablow: World Cup is distraction from Obama scandals
Fox psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow’s conspiracy theory that the World Cup Soccer excitement is little more than a sick or sinister distraction from serious issues (read: Obama’s troubles) was too crazy for his fellow co-hosts on Outnumbered today.
Ablow, who was the show’s “one lucky guy,” said this about the World Cup:
I’m suspect. I’m suspect because here’s the thing: Why at a time when there are so many national issues and international issues of such prominence? I’m a little suspicious - yet another bread and circus routine. Let’s roll out the marijuana, pull back the laws and people even more crazy about yet another entertainment event.
…I think this is a way to distract people. …This is like Rome. I can see why Obama would love (it). …I think it’s interesting that at a time when there’s so much to pay attention to of such great import, people are playing games more than ever.

The only reason sports have ever been televised is to distract from Benghazi. Makes you wonder why Obama ever asked Benghazi to crash the economy and fire all those coal miners in the first place.

Billions of people watch football (the real name for soccer and a sport that precedes American football). All activity stops in many countries when their team plays. It's a sport that is so popular because anyone can play it, from a poor kid in a slum to the wealthiest child. There's very little equipment needed. There's always someone who has a ball, and if they are too poor to buy one, they make one with rags and string. The kids will play barefoot if they have to, the whole point is to kick that ball.
Is this idiot so American centric that he thinks this is a world conspiracy to distract the American public from Obama's "problems"?????
Let me also inform the kind doctor that most of the world couldn't give a rat's ass if we participate in the Cup. We have become better in the last events, but we are no threat to any of the major teams.
