Mark Mayfield, the Mississippi Tea Party vice chairman who was arrested in connection with the plan to photograph Senator Thad Cochrans ailing wife, has committed suicide.
The Clarion-Ledger reported that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.

(14,449 posts)He made a horrible mistake. He would have taken the punishment and gone on with his life. Nobody's life is "worthless" enough to kill themselves over. I know he was Tea Bag but this is sad regardless.

I see no reason at all those two shouldn't do a joint suicide...

(14,449 posts)However, the only one that I wouldn't shed a tear for is that kid who shot some people. His father was all over the news yesterday. Even his father (sorta) said he wished he was gone.
