children should not touch a gun until they are 10 and should never have unsupervised access to them until they are 18.

It's really simple.

I agree with hack89. No child that age should be able to touch a gun. And who in the fuck gives a five year old a loaded gun, let alone a putatively unloaded one.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Billy Gregory says that the shooting has been ruled an accident. “It’s just one of those nightmares,” he said, “a quick thing that happens when you turn your back.”


No, it is not--it is criminal negligence and child endangerment of the worst sort to leave two tiny kids alone "for a few minutes" with a loaded gun!

ON EDIT: These "accidents" will continue to happen unless adults start being charged for setting little children up to have such easily predictable "accidents"!
