It amazes me that so many of these Republicans went to law school, studied the constitution and government, and come up with whacko interpretations.

In the 70s, the days of John Mitchell and Watergate, they called it "strict constructionism". Now they call it "original intent" of the Founders. Well, society evolves and amendments and case law have changed the law. They don't understand judicial review, in which case law overturns statute law. We've had that principle since 1803 in Marbury v Madison, which was an election contest.

In the original Constitution, the only people who could vote were white men who owned real estate. That had to change and it did, by Constitutional amendments.

Under the original Constitution, neither I nor my husband could vote. I'm female, and he doesn't own any real property.

5. She is not running for office

Her ReTHUG colleagues allowed her to remain in office despite ethics violations on the condition that she does not run for office again.

Why she is given so much air time given her campaign finance fraud issues is anyone's guess.
She should really be in prison.

Looks like her supposed replacement has some issues of his own

http://www.sctimes.com/story/news/local/2014/06/24/emmer-campaign-reclassifies-firzsimmons-payments-times-probe/11331129/
<snip>
Congressional candidate Tom Emmer's campaign has amended its federal campaign-finance filings after initially reporting it paid a salary and consulting fees to a state lawmaker.

The Emmer campaign reported to the Federal Election Commission in January that it made the payments to state Rep. David FitzSimmons, R-Albertville.

The campaign amended that report last month after the Times inquired about the payments. The amended report says those funds went to reimburse FitzSimmons for travel, lodging and sign purchases.

FitzSimmons is a first-term GOP legislator who isn't running for re-election. He has longstanding ties to Emmer, having managed Emmer's campaign for governor for part of the 2010 cycle.

Emmer, R-Delano, is the frontrunner for the GOP nomination to succeed U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann in Minnesota's 6th Congressional District. He faces Anoka County Board chair Rhonda Sivarajah in an Aug. 12 primary to decide the Republican nominee.

I imagine FOX will hire her when she's out of the Congress or she will become a lobbyist.

they can hire anyone.

Many folks don't realize she's seriously ethically challenged but apparently doesn't give a damn.
I added a link re her supposed replacement.
