Is it me, or does the Robert's court seem completely divorced from reality?

The ruling on the abortion clinic buffer zone really has me wondering.

Sure I can see the First Amendment violation if someone just wants to pass out pamphlets to people as they walk in the clinic. But that's not what is happening. People are being physically assaulted and shot at. Clinic workers and doctors are being killed. These clinics are literally a war zone.

Then if we look at the ruling on the 1965 Voting Rights Act ruling, we this same pattern. Sure the South is not as racist as it was, but more than half of the population of Mississippi is either not sure or don't believe that is should be legal for black people to marry whites. We can say that that Section 5 of the act is no longer valid because there is no more racism, but that is not the reality. Though it has become obvious that racist voting laws are not just an issue in the south.

Then we come the United Citizens ruling.

It's like the rulings are a for a world that someone wants to exist, not the one that does.

I don't know, what do you think?

Not so hidden from the likes of DUers, but from the rest of the world.

They are making reality as best they can that furthers their murderous intentions. We stand in their way. Lets us not be divided.

they (the majority on the court) are simply married to the right wing.

Talk about needing a position with term limits.
That is all.

What's really interesting is Scalia's reasoning. Here is a sample:

"Justice Scalia and Justice Alito wrote opinions concurring in the judgment only.

In his opinion (joined by Kennedy and Thomas), Scalia slams the majority for “carr[ying] forward this Court’s practice of giving abortion-rights advocates a pass when it comes to suppressing the free-speech rights of their opponents” and for perpetuating “an entirely separate, abridged edition of the First Amendment applicable to speech against abortion.”"

Per Scalia, there should be no buffer zones whatever.

The SCOTUSblog also has an review.

Its members need to be impeached and removed.

People injured by its rulings should be able to sue individual justices for damages.
