it is on my bucket list of places I want to visit though. Something like this event could possibly bump up my trip.

I bet a whole lot of us are way nicer in person.

I have a noticeably different approach with/toward DUers I have met, even when we disagree.

I'm much nicer in person. I have a difficult time translating that in writing sometimes. Either that, or I tend to post more when I'm ticked off.

I do realize the need to work on it, though.

I've been to several meetups, and they are always fun.

It would be great to meet folks I haven't already met, and to renew the ties with those I have!

A typical convention has speakers, workshops, seminars, social activities, etc. which all require committees and hierarchies and officers...

So, what shall be the goal of our organization?

We could easily use the San Diego convention center. This is a great idea!

And I think convention type space there is inexpensive. It should be added to the list of possibilities if we do this.
