(6,960 posts)Hillary Clinton's campaign for the Democratic nomination would implode in about a month if a contest developed between her and Warren.
Of course, neither are running right now.
But hypothetically, Warren would have a huge enthusiasm advantage over Clinton.
My prediction is that Clinton would not last nearly as long as she did against Obama back in 2008.
Let's face it, Warren is new, fresh, articulate, passionate and most of what base progressive voters in the Democratic Party want in a nominee. With the issues Warren is highlighting, she has huge appeal to unaffiliated and young voters.
Independents/unaffilateds would win almost all of those open primary states for Warren.
Clinton is old, so last decade, very establishment, not passionate ... it makes me tired just thinking about a Hillary Clinton campaign. Outside of a certain faction of the Democratic Party, I just don't see much enthusiasm for Clinton at all.
With the Tea Party-Repuglicans seemingly determined to nominate an unelectable crazy-person as its presidential nominee in 2016, Democrats have the opportunity to nominate and elect a real progressive, populist for a change.
Why wouldn't we take that chance?
