Obama Defends Hillary, Says Her ‘Dead Broke’ Comment Won’t ‘Make a Big Difference’

President Obama weighed in on the kerfuffle over Hillary Clinton‘s wealth in an interview with George Stephanopoulos, dismissing the outcry over her perceived tone-deafness as a result of her “jumping back into the spotlight in a more explicitly political way.”

Obama said, “I think that Hillary has been to this rodeo a bunch of times. She is in public service ‘cause she cares about the same folks that I talked to today.”

The president added that “over time, I don’t think it’s gonna make a big difference.”
