My dog used to freak out and run into the bedroom whenever she heard firecrackers.

This only stopped in her later years, when she couldn't hear so well anymore.

The damn motorcycles ride through the neighborhood with their loud pipes. The shift down as the approach the stoplight down the street and open it wide when they are pulling away. And they run fro April to November making it miserable to sleep, talk or listen to television or anything else.

2:00 am one goes through wide open every night.


I take a week of the neighbors blowing things up if I could just get rid of the bikers.

they also love pissing on my wife's flowers. We live out in the country and my neighbors know and understand why I light a few firecrackers once in a while. I don't throw them at the dogs. I lay the firecrackers on the ground and light them. The dogs run home where they are safe.

we call it the beginning of "Beirut season". Between that and the Harleys, it's hard to sleep.
