They grow up so fast.

she did turn 13 but it happened so fast. it was 10 years ago when they came on the national scene and this is how we first saw them.

There was a gold rush of sorts years ago and there are a few holes in the ground where miners found mostly pyrite. There was this cave . . .squeeze through the little hole and go down this narrow hallway underground and come out into a squared room with candles and coolness. Good relief from the sweltering summer. They permanently blocked it, but my wife and I sat atop the entrance with our kids and picnicked once.

I don't think we have had such a glamorous looking family in The White House since Kennedy.

They just make my heart warm and a smile on my face when I see pictures of them. All of them.

I kinda miss Michelle's bangs though.
