Midwesterners, how's the weather now?

We had a rough night here in Iowa. It is storming again now. Flooding ensues. There's a road washed out in a town north of here.

Yikes! Lots of close lightning. I have stuff blown about the yard but it will have to stay there until this round passes.

It's 70 degrees here by the lakefront 7 am.

May have to turn on the air conditioner today. My wife took the cover off it yesterday just in case.

the environment. It seems anyplace, almost, has the potential for damaging weather, plus earthquakes, sink holes, fires and all.

Cedar Rapids received 6" of rain with in a 90 minute period last night. Highway 1 north of Mt. Vernon is completely washed out and a car was dropped into the now missing section of the road. This area was just trashed in 2008 with that huge flood. We don't need a repeat so soon.

Lots of lightening in the overnight but not a heavy rain...

The forecast says elevated possibility of big weather this afternoon.

Be safe.
