I'm really into crafts, sewing and holiday home decorating.

We have a Hobby Lobby and Michael's in our town. HL is about a mile closer to me than Michael's, so before its lawsuit I usually went there for my supplies. No more, never again. There are millions of crafters like me who need to stand up to those freaks and say FUCK YOU! Pocketbook power is real and must be used to shut down those who would deny women their reproductive rights.

I'd write an old fashioned letter to the CEO too. He/she may not care, but at least he/she knows they lost a customer over this. After he/she gets a few thousand letters, it might register. YMMV.

Maybe when millions of customers avoid them, they will reconsider or go out of business. Probably go bankrupt "in service to their Lord".

I'll be driving past their Hobby Lobby to go to Michael's.

And sometimes I'll go on a Sunday "just because."

10. This is why we must shop local businesses.

For every single thing that we possibly can.

We need to make ACTIVE efforts to find local businesses that offer products and services that we need. Most of our country simply goes to big business for their needs (probably because everyone else does and the ubiquitous advertising/brainwashing that they can afford to dole out).

Small businesses do not have the marketing dollars that big business has, and we need to wake up more of our fellow citizens to the importance of shopping local business establishments.

There are several local arts and crafts and fabric stores in my city, and I will do my part in spreading the news of their existence to as many people as I can.

Sometimes I need something fast and those places are farther away and have more difficult parking. But I hear you. Think I will be making more trips to my locally owned places.

For those who don't know, it's visiting a store to examine their merchandise for purchase elsewhere.

It's the replica part that freaks me out. It feels so superficial.
