So, i just hear the sad news about hobby lobby judgement by supreme court..
My simple question is that :
Does this allow only hobby lobby to not cover birth control ?
or
Any private company can now refuse to cover birth control by citing this judgement ?
Sorry for asking a newbie question.

I do not know how they defined "closely held company" --- I assume it means owned by a family.
A majority of the justices held that a closely held company such as Hobby Lobby does have religious rights. The court didnt apply those rights, however, to publicly held corporations, where owners religious beliefs would be hard to discern.

Of course, in these definitions, "small" is not defined.

(13,933 posts)2. It appears they tried to make it quite narrow
It applies only to private companies with only a few owners and it applies only to birth control.
