Kmart's Corporate Religion

I wanted to know what Kmart's corporate religion is. The local Kmart number directed me to Sears Holdings. I phoned them and spoke with Cheryl.

I told Cheryl how the Supreme Court ruled today that corporations can have corporate religions and that they can trump federal law. After checking with coworkers, Cheryl said they didn't have a corporate religion. I told her that was good and that now I felt comfortable shopping at my local K-Mart.

I think I'll phone my supermarkets next.

BTW, don't respond by telling me the ruling only affects closely held companies. This was a slippery slope ruling that has massive implications.

ON EDIT
I just sent an online form asking the same question to the Demoulas Market Basket HQ. The woman who I spoke with on the phone didn't know of any corporate religion, even though the company is privately held.

I just love that Kmart is close and handy and usually has what I'm looking for. I don't do Wal-Mart. valerief Jun 2014 #2
