Their proselytism has been disturbing me since the first time I went there. It is one thing to have a section with religious items. It is another to have religious items of ONE faith throughout the store.

Frankly, I felt very uncomfortable.

running errands. Usually, when I go past, it's parked full, including people who've parked in fire lanes and such.

Not today.

I wonder how many of them (and the five justices) shop at Hobby Lobby?

were all well over the age of 60 with their wives. Most of them looked like they didn't want to be there to begin with.

So HL is really shooting itself in the foot, by pissing off their primary clientele.

a craft or fabric store by the number of men napping in their cars in the parking lot!" I hope this sinks the Hobby Lobby, which I always avoided because of the overtly religious crap and hymns on the PA system. I don't do much craft work anymore but, if I did, I would certainly find another supplier over HL.

This ruling has created quite the shitestorm, as well it should. I am sure your wife will be able to find alternative sources for the craft items she needs.

she is really looking for local stores that carry her sewing products. Not quite as easy now that we live in SW Ohio, rather than in Maryland.

If you sign up for emails, many of them offer free shipping pretty often. They also have some pretty nice sales.

I never shopped much at Hobby Lobby, much of their stuff is inferior to Michaels, but I did like their selection of novelty fabrics. But that said, I will never go in their store again and will warn all my crafting friends to stay away from them. I don't want to go into any store where I have to worry that I match the owner's religious or political beliefs.

I realize time is important, but I really like the beverlyfabrics group.
Beverlys.com is the fabric store and http://www.save-on-crafts.com/ is my downfall... so many things to drool over!

Anyway, I have no idea of their political affiliation but no where on their about page do they mention the clue words EXCEPT
