Brown would have spent the night in jail, probably have had the charges dropped (if the store owner wanted to keep doing business, Brown was a success story in that area, a kid who was on his way to college), Brown's family would have lit into him for being so fucking stupid, and life would have gone on.

There would have been no grand jury, people would not have been injured by cops playing army during peaceful protests, and a lot of businesses in the area would be standing and open by 9 AM tomorrow.

However, the problems caused by racist, overmilitarized police would still be under the rug.

Michael Brown could have gone on to do something that changed the world or one of his children could have. At the very, very least the lives of his friends and family would not be devastated and he would still be alive. Human life has value, no matter what color.
