I was very impressed. She had Michael Brown's parents on her show and was crying with them. Also Nancy Grace tends to have a fairly conservative audience. I think she struck a chord with a lot of people who watched her show that night.

Best comment thus far about whether Wilson should be tried and whether he has a credible claim to self-defense. Wilson also could have waited for back-up to deal with Johnson and Brown.

Wilson should have been tried. It's hard to get a conviction of a policeman and for good reason, but here . . . . for once, I agree with Nancy Grace. Wilson's story does not add up. The case should have gone to a real jury and a real judge.

As in the gas pedal...

Not sure what this is a sign of, but it is a very rare occasion for me to hear news of Nancy Grace and not throw up in my mouth a little.

She says if you are getting beat up, put the petal to the metal and drive off. The reason I have been thinking about this is because I once had to do just that. I had parked on the side of a convenience store when a deranged, probably drugged out person approached me asking for money. I told him I would give him a dollar after I bought something and had some change. So I came back out and gave him $1 and then he screams "No, I gave you $100, where is the rest of my change?" Or something like this. He then follows me to the car and wedges himself between me and the door so I can't shut it. So I turned the car on and started backing up with him still wedged to where I could not shut the door. This caused him to hurry up and get out of the way. I shut the door quickly and drove off.

The point is, Darren could have easily gotten away from this kid who was supposedly beating him like Mike Tyson by just driving away then pointing the gun and telling him to get down. Why did he just sit there and allow Brown to have a shot at getting his gun?

Makes zero sense or Wilson is just not good at thinking on his feet.

I think the reason that DU is supporting this particular Nancy Grace reaction is because she is so pro-police and state's authority. When you have someone like her questioning the process, you really know the process is fucked.

But yes, it's very possible that Wilson could have handled the situation better than he did.

I really do not like Nancy Grace.

However, in this case I believe her analysis is correct.
