Malaysia Airlines asks fliers: 'Want to go somewhere but don't know where?'

Malaysia Airlines has apologised after asking passengers in a tweet: “Want to go somewhere but don’t know where?”

The question prompted disbelief from Twitter users – who drew parallels with flight MH370, which remains missing after disappearing over the Andaman Sea in March.

One suggested it was “probably not the best choice of words for an airline that doesn’t know where one of its planes is.”

Another described it as an “epic PR fail”.
The carrier said the tweet – sent as part of an end-of-year promotion – “was intended to inspire travellers during this holiday period to explore the destinations and deals” on offer.
