The reason OPEC voted to keep production at its current level is largely believed to be a tactic to hurt US fracking/shale type production (not such a bad thing).

As soon as the facking frackers stop trying, OPEC will just cut production and gas shoots up again... were damned if we do, damned if we dont

and actually develop clean renewable energy. But of course that is beyond the scope or even the imagination of any administration.

I seem to recall the prices when bush was in office coming very close to $4, so what is the point of the graphic?
And, i could be wrong, but I don't remember it being that cheap in 2009.
But, then again, they do have a habit of forgetting history, or just seeing what they want to see.
